Church NewsLetter – December 2008
Church Announcements
You may be interested to know that the October Fest proceeds combined with a private donation was enough to purchased our much needed sound system.
A prayer tree will be placed in the church throughout the month of December for anyone wanting to add a prayer.
Don’t forget to bring in your non-perishable food items for the Christmas food basket that we’ll be putting together and donating two weeks before Christmas.
We will also be adopting a family for Christmas to provide needed gifts for the children. Anyone wanting to donate toys or children’s clothes, please see any of the ladies of the church for details regarding what sizes, boy or girl, etc.
A Christmas Prayer
I said a Christmas prayer for you
Because the season’s near
I didn’t ask for riches
But for gifts so much more dear.
I asked for joyful gatherings
With your family all around
And for carols to inspire you
With their old familiar sound.
I asked for quiet moments
In your heart on Christmas morn
For a special time to celebrate
The Savior who was born.
I asked for friends to send their best
That you might know they care
I asked for peace and love and hope
And I know God heard my prayer.

Thank You
The congregation would like to say “Thank You So Very Much” to Terry, who has been gracious enough to drive all the way from Liberty, WV to fill in for the pastor at various times. We want you to know that your family is very much a part of our church family.
Thank you for all of the non-perishable food donations to fill the Thanks Giving food basket. It was overflowing and we are truly grateful that we could bless a family in this manner.
Tried By Fire Youth Ministries
As time goes by, our youth group grows one child or teenager at a time. God does answer prayer, doesn’t he?
