Browns Chapel is located in St. Albans, West Virginia on Dry Ridge Road and only five minutes outside of town. It is the little country church on the hill and is rich in family history and very much a monument to years past. It is a non-denominational church where grandsons and great grandsons worship during today‘s services; much like their fathers and grandfathers did before them. Browns Chapel is a church where you will feel at home, with a congregation that encourages you to worship in the way that God made you to worship.
If you are new to our little white church on the hill, we would like to introduce you to the Pastor, Shelby McNealy Jr. who has passionately lead the church since 2008. Shelby is a native of St. Albans, West Virginia and a true man of God. He attended Browns Chapel as a child. He and his wife, Michelle were also married in the church in the Summer of 1993 and now share two children, daughter Victoria and son Jacob.
We are a family at Browns Chapel with a strong sense of continuity and a true love for one another. We have a heart for the youth of our community as they are our future. It is not only our sincere desire, but our heartfelt responsibility to try and make their futures better through God. We include up beat and up lifting contemporary praise and worship in our services and invite the participation of our congregation in our services and church events. We offer a youth building where kids of all ages can play as they learn about God. We often use fun and games to teach; applying the Christian principals of God’s word to everyday situations that our children face in today’s world. Our intensions are to guide them in a way that God desires for them to act and react. We also enjoy fun and laughter in the Lord in not only our youth group, but for all who participate in our services.
John 15:11 – These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
We invite you and your family to come worship with us and be a part of our church family.
